Yum Its What's For Dinner: Pantry Shopping Night

I love to cook but there are some nights that I dread the "What's for dinner?" question!  Feeling uninspired and knowing that I needed some quick and easy (tonight my daughter has gymnastics so no one eats at the same time) I opted for a crock pot favorite!  Huli Huli Chicken and I had all of the ingredients "in stock."

Here is my crock pot simmering away:

Recipe:
4 lbs of frozen chicken thighs (I had two different packages in my freezer..$4.17 and $2.59 prices)
1 cup soy sauce ($0.87 for whole bottle after BOGO coupon and purchase at Walmart)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp garlic powder
3 tsp ground ginger.

Cook on low for 6-8 hrs, serve over rice (Minute Brown Rice $1.62 after coupon at Walmart)!
